We are a fast-growing sensor company specializing in sensor solutions for a wide range of industries, including industrial machinery, transportation, and heavy equipment.
While our headquarters may currently be modest, our ambitions and capabilities are anything but. Our team brings deep experience in mechanical design
and aerospace engineering, with a strong focus on reliability, innovation, and precision. Several members of our team are proud to be affiliated with professional and academic excellence
through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Tau Beta Pi.
Our mission is to develop high-performance sensors that solve specialized problems.
Focus on the Fundamentals
At KasperAero, focusing on the fundamentals means anchoring every decision in the core principles of engineering, physics, and sound design.
It means approaching each challenge with humility and discipline—beginning not with assumptions, but with research, reference, and rigorous analysis. We believe that innovation is most
powerful when it stands on a strong technical foundation.
This philosophy also extends to how we build our internal systems. We prioritize scalable, adaptable processes over legacy systems that inhibit
growth. Whether it's part numbering, product architecture, or operational workflows, our goal is to create flexible structures that enable agility as we expand.
Above all, focusing on the fundamentals means a commitment to excellence in everything we do. From design and development to customer support
we strive to operate at the highest level of our capabilities and deliver dependable solutions with clarity, purpose, and long-term value.
Founder and CEO: Ben Kasper
Education
A native of Northeast Ohio, Ben Kasper earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron.
Professional Background
Ben began his engineering career in plastic extrusion before moving into packaging machinery design. He later found his focus in aerospace, specializing in
fuel and lubrication system components. Motivated to create something original and lasting, he founded KasperAero to advance sensor technologies through innovation, precision, and integrity.
For more than two decades, numerous attempts and dozens of patents have sought to address this challenge, yet none succeeded in meeting the market’s needs. Recognizing the demand for low-power, cost-effective ferrous debris sensors, Ben focused his research on magnetic sensing technologies. Through persistence and what he humbly attributes to divine grace, he identified the underlying principle of the Null Zone Magnetic Sensor, which now serves as the foundation of KasperAero’s product line.
Inspiration
Inspired by the engineering ethos of Kelly Johnson, the legendary Skunk Works founder at Lockheed Martin, Ben strives to apply the same disciplined,
principle-based approach to building both technology and a company that endures.
Kelly Johnson's Rules for Business:
- It’s more important to listen than to talk.
- Even a timely wrong decision is better than no decision.
- Don’t half-heartedly wound problems—kill them dead.
